The threee-branch exhaust manifold was left unpainted. It fed into a single downpipe, which incorporated a flexible section (improved from chassis number 149628). There was a single silencer mounted under the floor, literally just under the left-hand door. The silencer was made by Burgess. The tailpipe passed under the rear axle.
The exhaust system, which was painted black, was flexibly mounted at three points: at the front of the silencer, and two mounting points for the tailpipe.
